At their regularly scheduled meeting in January, the Lincoln County Public Hospital District #3 (Lincoln Hospital and Clinics) board of commissioners confirmed Donna Reinbold for the recently elected District 1, Position 1 and voted to appoint Andy Schreck for the recently vacated At-Large position. The two positions had previously been held by Deral Boleneus and Gerald Krause respectively. Both commissioners were long-time board members with Boleneus holding his seat for 50 years and Krause for 22 years.

“We are forever grateful for the service of Deral and Jerry to the district,” said Tyson Lacy, Chief Executive Officer for Lincoln Hospital and Clinics. “They are leaders who always had the best interest of the health of their communities at heart.”

Because Krause’s term was not complete, it was up to the public hospital district to appoint an interim member to act as commissioner until the next election cycle. The position’s term will be up for election in November 2021. At that point, Schreck will need to run for election for the 6-year, publicly-appointed position.

The hospital district’s board of commissioners meets on the third Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Hospital board conference room and is a representation of the various communities within the district’s service area. Currently, the board is represented by the following community members:

District 1, Position 1: Donna Reinbold

District 1, Position 2: H. Eugene “Gene” Smith

District 2, Position 1: Sue Els

District 2, Position 2: Laura Reindeau

District 3, Position 1: RoxAnn Sherwood, Chair

District 3, Position 2: Shara Coffman

At-Large: Andy Schreck
