UltraSound Technology —
Sound waves used for clearer imaging

What is UltraSound and how does it work?

UltraSound is a non-invasive form of imaging that uses high frequency sound waves to see internal organs. No radiation is used, therefore no there are no side effects with UltraSound. Images are high resolution and show fluid flow through the body as well as movement (beating of heart, baby kicking).

UltraSound is most often used in abdominal and chest scans. It is best known for showing expectant parents images of their unborn child — including beating heart and any movement the child makes.

Lincoln Hospital uses cutting edge GE Logiq 700 Ultrasound technology, which gives technologists and radiologists a crisp, clear images. This piece of equipment has the ability to save images on a hard drive to be called up for later examination and comparison by radiologists. There is even an ergonomic screen which swivels so patients can better see the images the technologist is making.

Why choose Lincoln Hospital for an UltraSound?

Our GE Logiq 700 is the same technology used at Imaging facilities in much larger cities, so the quality of image is top rate. Our technologists are highly trained, caring and there is little or no wait for an appointment. All UltraSound images at Lincoln Hospital are read by the area’s top radiologists at Spokane’s Inland Imaging, then results are immediately forwarded to your physician.

Any patient with a physician’s order for an UltraSound, MRI, CT Scan, x-Ray, Mammogram or DEXA-Scan can get an appointment at Lincoln Hospital — just call us. Why travel when the best is right here at home?
