Current Projects

Foundation Header

Since 1989, Foundation volunteers have shared the commitment to high quality local healthcare with generous donors from across Lincoln County. We’re still committed — diligent and excited about our progress.

2011 Goal

Looking toward 2011 the Foundation will raise funds for three new projects for a total cost of $15,500.

Pneumatic Leg Adjusters will be purchased for the operating room to help with positioning during surgery. Studies have shown that patients can have long-term nerve damage from incorrect positioning while in the OR. Currently, the OR has leg adjusters that are manually adjusted and prevent staff from being able to perform certain procedures like urology and orthopedic surgeries. With the new leg adjusters, staff will be able to perform a wider range of surgeries at Lincoln Hospital and patients will receive a higher quality of care during their procedures.

Also aiding in quality of care for Lincoln Hospital patients, Suction Units for every Acute Care patient room are to be purchased by the Foundation.

The final project for 2011 will be the purchase of a new Treadmill for the Physical Therapy department. The treadmill will be used for aerobic and cardiovascular fitness of PT patients and will be replacing an old treadmill.

2010 Promises Fulfilled

Despite economic hardships throughout the county, the Lincoln Hospital Foundation was able to fund over $20,000 in 2010 to go toward needed projects for Lincoln Hospital District 3. Thanks to the committed support of community members throughout Lincoln County the Foundation completed the purchase of the Vein Finder for nurses in the Acute Care Unit, new stretchers for the Emergency Room and recliners for Acute Care rooms.
