Lincoln Hospital District #3 was formed in 1961 by a grassroots movement of the local community to establish a hospital district in Davenport. The group not only wanted to bring local healthcare to Lincoln County, but provide a nursing home and jobs to boost the economy. Over the past 40 years, Lincoln Hospital expanded to include three medical clinics, assisted living, long term & transitional care. It has grown tremendously in terms of number of staff and availability of services. Starting with a staff of 50 under administrator Paul Kembel, Lincoln Hospital now employs nearly 300 people under the management of administrator Tom Martin.
